Should I cut back Nepeta 'walkers low'

This question is on Nepeta x faassenii

Should I cut back Nepeta walkers low in the autumn, and if so, by how much and when is the best time to do it and does it need a feed after? Thanks

We often cut everything back too soon leaving the garden bare. If you have a cat he will love to lay in it. Let it go through the winter and cut back hard in the early spring, then feed.

Autumn or Spring, but make sure you cut it hard back.
