wedding butterflies

OK so I'm not green fingered at all but I would like your advice on my wedding favours. What I wanted to do was glue seeds that grow plants to attract butterflies onto one of these www.weddingstar.com/us/8421-22+Hand+Painted+Butterflies_keyword:butterfly; so my guests can plant the butterfly will this work or will it stop the seeds from growing?

Why not tie a little piece of paper shaped into an envelope, with a pretty ribbon, to the butterfly with the seeds inside. Instructions to the receiver would be to plant the 'secret envelope' and see what happens! Voila!
