my 2 year old apple has a green( not grey at all) powdery moss(?) on the trunck and some stems...have looked and not found out what it is, the tree seems fine. Is it soimething I should worry about /deal with?

If you wish to remove this you can use an old way, make up a lime wash and paint it on the green areas, it will wash off and not cause any harm to your tree when it rains.
