Are we talking about Lysimachia - and which one, please? If it's the one with yellow flowers, Lysimachia punctata, then I cut mine down to the ground when I am tidying the borders in late autumn. You should see the next year's growth at the base of the stems. As it is a 'thug' in my garden and spreads, I dig some up at this point. Will you please ask again if your Lysimachia is not this one?
