I just bought a Hagley Hybrid pink clematis and planted it near the garden fence by the patio. Will it survive the winter or should I have put it in a pot in the greenhouse till
spring?

Suggest you put a flat stone over the root system, but as Andrew says they are hardy.

all my clamatis are left outside and still flower, good luck

Hagley Hybrid is hardy and should be fine in the ground. Just make sure if we get any hard frosts, that the ground has not heaved and exposed the roots - if it has, push it back down again
