i purchased a grape vine marechal foch from morrissons last year it took well in my garden with plenty of foilage and fruit its survived the winter ok, should i cut it back or leave it to do its own thing

Pruning of these should be done in winter, not spring - it's a high maintenance plant if you're trying to get grape crops - google Vitis marechal foch pruning, Backyardgardener is a site which has a video showing you how to do it, with written info on the plant as well.
