I used a shady grass seed to patch some areas last spring, and it grew really well...no patches now sunshines, so I would definitely give it a try.

Your'e welcome Sunshines. It's always tricky to grow grass in shady areas and mine is always full of moss, but I tend to leave it alone as moss is greener than grass, and I like the spongy feel underfoot!

I'm amazed that there are so many types of grass seed for all conditions, brilliant. BostonSeeds do all types .... Good luck Sunshines. For a new patch that I'm sowing, I need slow growing without rye grass, so need to do my research.
