What is the aftercare of lavender toscane, does it need pruning & when. It's growing in a planter.

Same as ordinary lavender - clip over after a main flush of flowers has finished, taking about an inch of the foliage at the same time. As this is a variety of L. stoechas, it may, or may not, survive this harsh winter we're having - it's only been observed down to 0 deg. C.
