planting bulbs
Asked on 5 Sep, 2008
don't know what to do about planting bulbs while my ground is so waterlogged after very wet summer and especially torrential rain over last few days/
. They have arrived from supplier today but rain forecast again all weekend! Can I keep them for a while in dry shed?

There are a few bulbs that don't like to dry out - snowdrops and cyclamen for example. If you have bought these, try and find a spot right beside a wall or fence that is not too soggy and plant them there until the soil is more suitable for putting them in their final positions

Yes - as long as it's cool (HAHA).and mouse-proof. Keep them in paper bags, or nets - not plastic bags, as that can cause them to sweat and rot.
