best way to store and keep my own seed potatoes

Place the potatoes in trays now with the eyes uppermost, on old newspaper, fluffed up.
Store in a frost-free place with plenty of light, away from mice.
To advance chitting in February, damp over-head with a fine spray.
In the old days before central heating, we kept them on top of the wardrobe.
