I have a small garden but the local cats seem to think it is a litter tray.... are there any plants I could grow that cats hate to discourage them from coming in? they seem to like leaving parcels on the lawn as well..which is not good when you have children around!

You have my sympathy, why should we have to put up with other peoples ruddy cats, try the water pistol method.

Try 'Scoot' - powder mixed with water and then watered on with watering can. Seems to work on my veggie patch well.
