It looks like a slightly frost-damaged Potato Vine (Solanum jasminoides).

Thats certainly a Solanum flower.

You may find it listed as Solanum laxum 'Album'....it doesn't like frost or cold winds, and needs a sheltered south or SW facing position.

Thank you all very much! I asked them what it was at the time but the gardener was on holiday. A visiting florist said it was a Hoya plant... The world order is now restored.
