What do we do with stems and foliage remaining at the end of the growing season. Cut to ground level or leave to rot ?

Cut them to ground level and put a compost mulch on top for a bit of protection and to mark where the plant is. You can do this once the frost has helped them on their way. I assume this is the large white arum lily, which is hardy.
