I have one in a pot on my patio, how and when do i prune? thanks Linda

On plant Salix babylonica

That's a potentially VERY large tree, Dogwatchcat. Are you sure that you have the correct name? The common name is Weeping Willow - the ones that you see by water. Could you check and get back to us?

I agree with Spritz, Dogwatchcat! It's rare to be able to keep these in any size container for more than 6 months, and watering them through the summer would be a pain--I have personal experience with them in a plant nursery. Can you get us a picture or detailed description, to be certain?
