I've had one growing in a large container for a couple of years, its not done too badly but I think in another year I may have to find someone to give it to so it can be planted out in a garden, where I'm sure it would be much more at home. The variety is called High Hopes. If you're going to put a climber in a pot I would suggest a Clematis (some varieties) or Jasmine.
