Hi I have three raised veg beds that I have cleared. I have topped with fresh compost and covered with compost bags and carpet squares as I have cats....will they be ok till spring? when should I take covers off?

Or you could sow some green manure and dig it in in spring.

Leave the covers on until you are ready to dig over and plant.Though it is better for the beds to be open to the air over winter.
