My husband planted a late crop of potatoes in bags provided at the end of July. Instructions said harvest when top growth dies back. Top growth is about 24 inches and has almost died back now. So he thought he'd have a look. BUT sadly there are few potatoes and they are pea sized. Do we leave the other bags and try harvesting later say in November ? Do we put them in the greenhouse? They are outside at present.

I had the same problem with my early potato's , grown in containers. Mine were all tops and the veg slightly bigger than peas. A few people told me , mine would have been better grown straight into the ground?

I then bought some cooking potato's which shooted , so placed them into pots , and they look much , much better.?
