On plant Hedera helix

Keep well away, I should think!!!

If you're the person in charge of the sub-station, and responsible for its upkeep, then cut through the stems at the base of each plant - cut out a couple of inches of stems. they'll take a while to die off, and you'll have to pull the dead stems off later. You could also use weedkiller on the remaining stems.

I would contact the electric company and tell them that the ivy is growing all over it.
