Should Leopard's Bane be cut down in the fall for winterizing?

On plant Doronicum orientale

I don't, I just leave it to its own devices. I know you're in a different situation, but I'd have thought that the leaves might help to protect the crown in the winter months. Mine seeds itself - does yours?

How do I say thanks?
