advice on acacaia plants suitable to grow in the west coast of scotland

Hmmm. I don't know. The few references I can find to acacia trees in Scotland seem to actually be referring to Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). In addition to that species, I would be surprised if Pink Locust (Robinia x ambigua) wouldn't work, also. I wouldn't expect most true acacias to work, since they are almost univerally subtropical trees, and aren't fond of cold wet winds, at all!
