Lobelia.I've bought a lovely lobelia fan scarlet.The label says it's fully hardy but then I read that it will need protection in the Winter.Would fleece be enough or should it be under cover.Thank you.

sadly its not fully hardy in Hull. the slugs love it so a mulch can harbour them. the plant dies down fully so a fleece may not help it. Some years it came through fine. if you really want to be sure then a cold frame would be suitable.
