Could you please identify a shrub in my garden, as I would like to prune it and dont know when the right time would be. The ends of the fronds are pink, thank you

could you show the leaves a bit closer please , only it looks a bit like Tamarisk, but without a closer look i cant tell

It is tamarisk. There are lots of varieties of tamarisk, but only two are common in gardens etc in this country.
Tamarix ramosissima, also known as T. pentandra has tiny five petalled flowers in late summer and should be pruned in spring.
T. tetandra flowers in spring and needs to be pruned just after flowering.

If your shrub is showing flowers now I assume it is T. pentandra.
