Does anyone know if this is yew. My 8mo old boxer is a walking stomach and loves to eat everything. She tried to devour this bush at a chirch and was deathly sick last night. Bed ridden dirrhea and the amount of weakness she had could not be over exaggerated. We called the vet n she said it was just an irritation of the gastro system. Shes playing a tad bit more but is far from being her normal self. Any info at all would be amazingly helpful. If it is yew and shes a little better so far does she have a chamce of surviving this??

Wow, sorry about your dog. I think this is a yew. It is poisonous and those are the expected symptoms. Fortunately she has youth & vitality on her side and she may ride this out.

Are you sure the vet knows how poisonous yew is? Their diagnosis for such violent symptoms seems a bit casual to me! Have you googled yew poisoning and dogs? Maybe take her to another vet to get a second opinion and find out if there is any antidote you can give your poor dog. I really hope she gets better. Please do let us know how she gets on.
