winter blossoming cherry tree

I have a winter blossoming cherry tree and recently it seems to have turned brown, all the leaves have dried up. There is still some green within the branches, do I prune it back now to see if it wil revive, if so how far back should I trim it

Is the tree in an exposed area? We've had such horrible weather that nothing surprises me. I would be inclined to leave it alone because if you prune it back you will lose any flowers it might produce. It could, hopefully, just be shedding its leaves early. Be patient a while longer and keep your fiingers crossed. Good luck! It's one of my favourites and I shall be keeping an eye on mine now.
