The fronds of my ferns went brown after the recent cold spells.Will they recover if I cut them back or do I need new plants?

Same here. Gave mine a good drink and stood it on the bench to keep an eye on it.

the brown bits wont re-green but in spring there will be new fronds produced. I wouldn't remove these until the new ones are emerging.
