Grape vine

Asked on 15 Aug, 2008

Iver the past 5 years I have cultivated a beautiful grapevine over a pergola on the decking. It is covered in lotsof bunches of small grapes(probably because I haven't fed and watered it enough). The big problem is the wasps--hundreds of them eating the grapes! I can't sit outside at all. I think the only answeris to cut it down, but has anyone any suggestions? Thanks

Oh dear! Try a glass wasp trap or netting...probably not much you can do really. Sorry. Or...cut the grapesoff and enjoy the leaves.

Thanks for your advice--I have to say the wasps have now polished off most of the grapes and my next job will be to remove the vine.
Having seen the other pics on the site, I might try and move it to another place in the garden where I can net it.
Don't know if it will survive but worth a try!
