In order to get a useful answer, it would be best if we could see a photo of the plant you actually have, rather than an image of a different one, but one question, the image you've posted shows this shrub as a standard, with a long, bare stem and the growth (presumably) grafted on top - is that what you bought, or is yours just a bush, without the long, straight stem?

And when you say you 'might have damaged it when you cut', can you explain more what that means please, that is, when and how did you cut?

Jent are you able to identify some flowers from Lizard island that I took recently. Couldn't find them in a book?

Duranta repens sheenagold is suitable for topiary so if it is on its own rootstock then it should re-sprout. you say you have had a new shoot. take the tip off that and then you will get side shoots from that . But it may not look balanced.
can you post a photo of your actual plant.

I have found Duranta to be a very hungry plant, so if it is planted in poor soil, it may need some more nitrogen than it has been getting.

my plant is exactly the same as the image . From the side of the trunk in the middle that I want new sprout. I cut them off to have into the shape that is on the image.

Well, my suggestion is to make sure that it is getting enough water and sun, feed it regularly--not with Seasol alone--and prune the top back occasionally. At work, we can hardly keep the standards from turning back into bushes.

How do I say thanks?
