Holly hocks

This is the first time I have grown holly hocks,What do I need to do to keep them coming each year ? Or do I need new plants each year.

No, just cut the flowering stems right back when they have finished flowering. Alcea rosea is a perennial, but there are also biennial hollyhocks - do you know which you have? They do both seed themselves so you may well get some new ones elsewhere where you don't expect them!
