Agapanthus yes, crowded in a pot or anywhere else, no. The only reason people thought agapanthus liked being cramped at the root was because, when first discovered, the plant was growing out of a crevice in a rocky wall, but in fact, they do perfectly fine, if not rather better, with plenty of root room. Looks like you've got both a white and blue one there.
