Last year all my apples fell off the tree in a few days how can I stop that happening this year

They fell off in sept the tree is in the ground

Were they ripe? Some apples ripen in September and need picking straight away. You can still use the windfalls for pies, jams, juicing etc.

You should thin them out so that the ones left on the tree have more of a chance to get bigger. Just take a few of the smaller ones off from each bunch.

Do you mean they fell off in autumn, or during June, or some other time? How long have you had the tree and is it in a pot or in the ground?
