Could someone please tell me what the attached plant is? The flowers are more of a lavender blue than this photo depicts. The seed lanterns are similar to a chinese lantern (Physallis) but smaller and black at the top and green below. The seeds within the lantern are in a small apply-like pod about the size of a pea. I believe the word 'apple' is part of the common name. I grew these from seed I had saved so am not sure if they are annual/hardy annual or hardy perennial. I would be most grateful if someone knows the answer. Thankyou Beryl Powell

I'm not sure, but I think it might be a Phacelia....which is an annual plant.
