An unknown (to my wife, an avid gardener!) plant has appeared in our daughter's urban back garden, adjacent to potato plants. It bears tomato-sized fruits, currently green. (picture attached). With very young children playing in garden the fruit are an attraction. Have you any ideas as to name of plant and any advice, please..? (Apologies for the small size of photo)

They are the fruit of the potato flowers. Potatoes and toms are in the same family. They are best removed and binned as they are poisonous. But they wont turn red.

All potato plants bear these green, poisonous fruits. Equally a lot of other fruits in your ornamental garden are poisonous, you will need to teach them not to eat anything unless they have checked first.
