we have about 40 tomato plants the toms still arn`t ripening they are in a tunnel and a green house any way we can ripen some indoors we are a b/b and are having to buy toms, really annoying

Yes, in a drawer with a ripe banana...that works.

The only thing tomatoes need to ripen them is warmth. Ethylene from the banana would also help. Either start your tomato plants earlier in future or choose varieties, mostly with small fruit, which ripen earlier. Are your greenhouses exposed to full sun? In Kent I'm very surprised you haven't got ripe fruit yet.
