I have a Hibiscus recently uncovered from a heavily pruned Mahonia.
It has in the last 3 to 4 years given all white blooms, but this year after a clutch of white blooms and being given more light, it has many pink or blue flowers. Is this unusual or to do with conditions, maybe soil. Perhaps you can throw some light on this.

Maybe volunteer seedlings have grown up, and are now blooming.
