Arum lilly I planted 2 white Arum Lillies in large pots this spring

I planted 2 white Arum Lillies in large pots this spring. The pots are east facing so get full sun till midday. At first they were healthy and flowered beautifully but now they appear to have rotted away. I have had a close look and can see new shoots sprouting. What's wrong?

What's the drainage like Stella? Also Arum lillies can get soft rot? but I dont know enough about it to help you, hopefully some one will? If you get no answer post again with a pic as you may have posted this when there were lots of questions being asked at the same time?
