Yes, but you'll need a pot 12-24 inches wide by 12-16 inches deep. If they were 24 x 16 deep you could get a couple or three in there.

As it is a herbaceous perennial plant it will die down completely for late autumn into early spring so I would plant it in the garden. If you want to grow something in a pot then I would go for a shrub, either deciduous or evergreen which might give some interest through the year.
