I would be grateful if anyone could help me identify these two shrubs - well small trees really. They have been growing for a year or two but this is the first time any flowers have appeared.

I thought there were two photographs - but a photographer I am not! One has pink flower/blossom the other white.

Yes, the top is definitely an apple. The second could be a plum, but the photo doesn't show enough of the tree.

Thank you so much. I have an apple tree in another part of the garden which has shown hardly any blossom this year and there is a Victoria plum tree very near to the white flowered tree. However the blossom on the plum doesn't look anything like that on the 'little tree'. Whatever they are I am thrilled that they are finally in bloom. Thank you once again for your thoughts.

Looks like cherry to me.

I was hoping one might be a cherry. I don't know where either came from, sometimes I cut bits off things and just stick them in the ground and hope for the best but then forget where I put them and what they are.

Yes, the white-flowered one could be a cherry, although the flowers usually have longer stalks. You'll find out in a few weeks anyway!

I look forward to finding out, Thank you.
