Grass cutting to avoid weeds

It is recommended that you rake the grass before cutting to make these particular weeds stand up, then they will be cut off, rather than the mower going over them. Hope this helps a bit. As to how often, I am sort of smiling because we have had so many days when grass cutting has been impossible!

I recommend leaving the Speedwell, its pretty blue flowers more than make up for the grass it replaces, but don't mind me I'm a nut case.
