when is it best to move sea holly and what should I do

On plant Eryngium planum

Autumn, or September to be precise. Dig it up, keeping the roots intact and a good rootball around it (remember it has a taproot, don't break that) make sure the new hole you dig is large enough to accommodate the roots without squashing or cramping them, backfill with the soil you dug out.

How do I say thanks?
