Can anyone identify this plant. The flowers are blue with a white centre. The fruits look like little lanterns with an almost metallic round seed pod inside. The whole plant grows to about 1m (I think)

Hi Jenny,
This is a Nicandra Physaloides - AKA Shoo-fly plant or Apple of Peru. It's a member of the Nightshade family, along with Tomatoes, Potatoes & Peppers.

Brilliant - I saw this in a garden last year and managed to identify it but then forgot!! Many thanks.
