Hi Googie
Your not alone there as i look around my estate where i live i think this is a national problem because of the adverse weather conditions we have had to endure. Some hydrangeas are only just coming into flower so late in the year and others have hardly moved.
Hope this helps
Best Wishes

Do you feed your hydrangeas? Mine get fed with concentrated chicken manure and then mulched with garden compost each spring and are flowering well

Andrew hits the nail. All too often a shrub is purchased, planted then 'forgotten' to a large extent.
Mind, there's a lot to what bufffiddler says, we just haven't seen much sun this year and the plants know it and are somewhat reluctant to flower as a result. I hope September is better because August has been a none-starter thus far.

thanks andrewr, have done everything with the hydrangeas. I think it must be just the lack of sunshine.
