Hello

I was wondering if you could help me please with a problem that I have with my courgettes and zucchini. I have been feeding them with Miracle-Gro and on a couple of my plants I have noticed that the leaves are yellowing and also some of the fruit is yellow and ridged and this leads to rotting. Is this a due to a lack of something, i.e. do I need to feed them something else? The other thing I noticed is that if I leave the flower on the zucchini it tends to rot the fruit from the flower end, so if I take the flower off as soon as it starts to fade this seems to be OK, but if I leave the flower on to rot away this causes the fruit to rot at the flower end, go yellow and then fall off. Can you please tell me why this is.

Your help in this matter would be very much appreciated.

With kind regards

Mrs Terry Evans

When we used to grow Zucchini they sometimes got a virus and the leaves went sort of mottled and yellow. The weather is so strange in different parts of the country this year. Sometimes, if it is very damp, this happens to the baby marrows....I tried one plant last year, I got 2 decent ones off and then the plant went yellow. There is no cure for these troubles, sometimes you get lots off and then it goes wrong
