hi moon grower i dont have a photo i dont know how to anyway i am new to this gardening lark but are enjoying it but i am learning your advice on lupins i have about 20 that have stopped flowering and still have the pods and stems intact..ive read your response Charlienorf and need to know if i cut the stems off now where do i store the pods till they are resown next year? and what month is best to do this or do you advise sewind indoors /

You will only need to keep a couple of pods of lupin seeds Guest otherwise you will enough to seed a field. Try to let the ones you are going to keep to sow next year stay on the plant until they are ripe, it is better for the seed. As the pods start to open and you can see the black pea sized seeds inside cut them off shake the seeds out into a paper bag or envelope and store until next spring somewhere cool and dry. I'd suggest starting them off in largish pots in a cool greenhouse, put 3 seeds in each pot and plant them in the ground when they are about 6 inches high. Remeber they have a tap root so be carefully when planting them out.
