I am thinking of buying Polianthes Tuberose bulbs for container planting. Having done some research I have read that these bulbs having bloomed once never flower again and that repeated flowering can only be achieved by growing on side bulbs. Is this true?

Thanks for that answer. Growing in containers does mean I can move plants around easily giving them the best conditions.

No, its not correct. Propagation is achieved by growing on offsets, but if you lift the tuber, or move the pot somewhere frost free before frost arrives, then it should flower again the following year, provided it doesn't rot in wet soil or get caught by cold. Not unlike a dahlia in terms of care. This plant likes a lot of heat and sun during summer though, and does best Zones 9 upwards (UK is almost all Zone 8, meaning its colder)

How do I say thanks?
