Hi Trapper, I don't really know enough about them to help but hopefully someone will.

Not sure why this is happening unless it's lack of water? - but if you are new to cucumbers one thing I learnt with my first attempt last year was that many varieties have both male and female flowers on the same plants.
Both should be left on outdoor varieties, but pinch off the male flowers when they appear on indoor varieties to prevent the fruit from becoming bitter.
The flowers are easy to tell apart - the female flower has a swelling beneath it that will become a cucumber. Alternatively, choose all female flower varieties.

Thanks, but its not the first time, 3rd year, last 2 with females variety. and also water by the bottom as all in trays, never dry.
