Constructors clean cut the trunk of an 8 foot yew tree, leaving hardly any root. Have put in hole with some bonemeal and kept watered, Is going brown-is it worth me
persevering?

You should keep hoping, Yews are very resistant , but keep it shaded from hot sun and spray it morning and night in hot weather. . Reduce the foliage but if possible leave some green on every branch to keep the sap rising.
