when is the best time to plant strawberies from a pot to the ground ? is ok at the mo /
and also when is it the best time for me to take the leaders of the strawberie plant and pot the on ?

You'll have to wait til autumn now as the ground is quite dry. So, in the meantime peg the runners into small pots to get more plants. When they have rooted well, sever them from the parent plant.
