comfrey as a fertiliser?

We have a lot of wild comfrey. What are its uses as a fertiliser? I believe you can add it to compost, but do you also make 'tea' with it with which to water plants? If so, how strong should it be?

Wonderful organic fertiliser. Just cover with water in a good sized container and leave for a week . Use the water then as a plant food, add more water and Comfrey as you need it. Keep it away from the house as it is inclined to pong a bit!!!! You can also dig it into the soil particlarly under potatoes.
