Has anyone else sown larkspur seed and got mayweed? Has them been some sort of mix up in a seed collecting company this year ?

Are you sure? The foliage is very similar. Seems like a weird mistake.

someone else was saying they had planted poppies and nigella and got daisies too. unless this was your other question.
