patio plants

i have just had a new patio laid and would like to know which plants/flowers i can buy to have an instant effect rather than wait for them to grow in the spring

Go to your nearest Garden Centre and see what's in bloom. Then you can check whether they are annuals or perennials and make your choice! Good luck - have fun.
